It's Almost That Time Again!

It's so close to Christmas and I'm getting very excited about going home. It's been a rough year for me, especially the past couple of months what with the accident and all and I can't wait to see everyone again.

This picture pretty much shows what I'm most looking forward to. Yeah, the turket is great and yeah, the Christmas crackers with the silly plastic hats are fun, but it's all about family for me.

Every year before dinner we open the crackers after saying grace. We share the silly jokes and compare favours (sometimes we trade them) and generally have a great time. In this particular picture I think Allan looks hilarious mid-bite (he didn't think it was as funny) and dad had taken off his plastic hat because his forehead was sweating. The place cards (which I made two years ago and are still in service) contained little treats and we just had a great time. As always, this is what I most look forward to. Spending time with family members that I only get to see a couple of times a year.
