So Freakin' Cold

I seriously love the weeks when I get a three day weekend. This was one of those rare times. Of course I ended up having to go to the dentist and wasted two hours of my precious time off, but still, it's been a good day. It was so cold when I was outside that I was lying in the dentist chair thinking of warm quilts. I've had my eye on this beautiful quilt at the store for ages now. It's a gorgeous combination of pinks and oh so girly. When I came home I decided to try and recreate a small piece of it on a photo frame!

I started with a bare wood frame from Michaels and covered it in subtle pink polka dot patterned paper. Then I chopped up some scraps from a PTI collection to make the little blocks. I glued all of those to the frame and then used a black pen to create the stitches. Finished the whole thing off with a stamped sentiment from the PTI Quilters Sampler set, a piece of white ruffle edge satin ribbon with pink stitching from Michaels and a few pink buttons from Dollarama. Too bad I don't have a sister to give this too! lol Hopefully it will make someone else's sister happy. :)

This is very cute. Now I want to make one and I have no need for it....maybe I can make one for Maggie. :) Thanks for sharing!
