I always start out with the best of intentions. I swear I do. Once again I'll go with the excuse that things have been hectic. That's right. A whole year of hectic. My job has been crazy and I haven't been crafting like I use to. That will change. I want a new bathroom and in order to do that I have to sell stuff, and in order to sell stuff I have to make stuff.
I have decided on coasters as this year's big ticket item. A set of four for $20. On the left is my first design and I really love how these turned out. Travertine tile was turned into cute coaster with just stamps and ink (and little rubber thingies on the bottom so as not to scratch furniture).
Mom and dad will be here later this week and I don't have nearly enough inventory to send home with them. So what am I doing? Well... I'm wasting my evenings doing a whole lot of nothing. Bad Nadine... Bad...
I started soap making about a year ago and have quite a bit of that for my inventory. I've also been working on magnets and bookmarks and got quite a steal on notebooks to turn into journals. I need to kick it into high gear. Quickly.
Mom had my inventory with her this summer. She's just a traveling craft show lately. She sold over $200 worth of stuff last weekend in Buchans. She said what sold most was the glass tile necklaces I decided to try my hand at on a whim. So that was good news! I should get into the craft room and try and replenish the stock on those. Maybe tomorrow evening... ;)
